Alpha1Strategy launches Global Overview 2021
London, UK (5 January 2021): Global strategic consulting firm Alpha1Strategy on January 5 launched the Global Overview 2021, the global calendar of the most important political and economic milestone dates for the year.
Previously called the G20 Davos Outlook, the Global Overview marks events and dates in the ninth year until the United Nations’ Global Goals Agenda 2030, during the G20 Presidency of Italy for the first time and in efforts to globalise the Overview Effect this decade, Alpha1Strategy said.
‘The Global Overview 2021, as a calendar of the most important dates for the forthcoming year, is critical resource for global policymakers, businesspeople, NGOs and the media,’ said Talal Malik, Alpha1Strategy CEO.
‘Following the global lockdown in 2020 as a result of the pandemic, the decision was remade to retitle to the Global Overview, instead of the G20 Davos Outlook as in previous years, reflecting the major global changes that have taken place.’
On January 7, 2020, Alpha1Strategy CEO Talal Malik published his article about the decade of the 2020s being that of globalising the Overview Effect, the cognitive shift astronauts have experienced on viewing the Earth from Space.
Frank White, the Harvard and Oxford-educated space philosopher who wrote the seminal 1987 book titled ‘The Overview Effect’ based on his numerous interviews with 29 astronauts, positively cited Talal Malik’s perspective in his July 2020 article.
‘Whilst retaining a focus on the G20, we have expanded our mandate to more globally-relevant events across the world – effectively all United Nations members – and also incorporating the concept of globalising the Overview Effect, hence the new name of the Global Overview,’ said Talal Malik.
The United Nations has 193 countries as members as part of its General Assembly with its Agenda 2030 for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and G20 economies account for 90% of gross world product, 80% of world trade, two-thirds of the world population and approximately half of the world’s area.
The 76th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 75) will be held from September 14-30, 2021 with the first day of the high-level General Debate on September 21 whilst the G20 Leaders Summit 2021 will be held in Rome, Italy, for the first time on October 30-31, 2021.
